JOB DESCRIPTION
- The Quality Control Officer is responsible for the QC process of non-medical goods for the region.
- Supports purchasers in the region for testing labs and suppliers assessments, item specification when contracting, QC findings validation and control of nonconforming products.
- Maintenance of QC documentation database for the region (SOP, Instruction and records);
- Maintenance QC equipment database for the region;
- Validation of inspection reports done in the region before release to purchasers and QC technician (reference samples testing, internal QC and labs reports);
- Source of proposal to purchasers, QC technician & Q manager regarding QC findings analysis, products acceptance, nonconforming products management and specifications improvement;
- Assessment of testing labs and suppliers in the region;
- Maintenance of QC records database on suppliers and testing labs performance (database to be reported to QC technician on monthly basis);
- Adequate use of internal ERP (JDE) QC module in the region;
- In case of need, performs measuring, examining, testing or gauging on items in order to insure that the minimum quality requirements are met;
- Supervision and training of Quality Controllers in the region, regular visits to delegations where QC setup is implemented and monitoring of QC performance;
- Management of a small team of Quality Controls (managing priorities, QC performance evaluation, Quality Controller training).

- Performs quality inspection, evaluating data using statistical methods for analysis, interpreting results of stat analysis and managing documentation (able to write clear and concise reports, procedures and quality documents in English).
- Executes independently monthly and periodical inventories
