Main Purpose of the Job:
The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients within the company’s target industries, plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince these organizations to do business with the company. They must develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and support that will continually improve the relationship. They are also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new products and support services to clients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Managing a team of Business Development Associates to explore and actively pursue growth opportunities for the company.
• Preparing financial reports, analysis, and information reports and updates.
• Overseeing and ensuring all elements of a successful proposal bid delivery.
• Growing the company’s sales pipeline and building rapport with existing and potential clients.
• Increasing revenue generation and company profits.
• Pioneering and implementing measurable marketing and business development strategies that will drive revenue goals and increase brand awareness in the Region.
• Developing Marketing and Business Development plans and annual budgets and forecasts.
• Implementing and managing marketing budget.
• Overseeing and directing the efforts of the marketing team.
• Managing and overseeing Marketing, Communication and Digital Agencies along with relevant 3rd party vendors.
• Identifying and developing new products and business opportunities with identified key target industries.
• Managing proposal development including planning for proposal submissions, and adherence to schedules, resource requirements, and quality standards.
