RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the program activities in consistence with donor requirements and provide technical support, oversight and leadership to the Child Protection team.
Represent IRC with key actors in Zaatari, Azraq, and Amman if needed; including NGOs, UN and government partners in Zaatari, Azraq and in Amman alongside CYPD Coordinator
Provide technical inputs to the design and implementation key child protection interagency mechanisms
Maintain close coordination and collaboration with UNICEF, UNHCR and other organizations
Contribute to strategic planning and design for broader child protection efforts in Zaatari, Azraq and other locations
Program Implementation
Supervise and provide technical support to the team in the implementation of child protection in emergency activities, particularly regarding the implementation of case management activities, alternative care arrangements, BID panels, foster parenting and mentoring skills training in accordance with international child protection standards.
Supervise the implementation of the CP IMS and the ensure the respect of data security standards
Close monitoring of progress on achieving program’s indicators; and taking corrective actions whenever needed.
Liaise with other IRC Program Managers to ensure cohesiveness in approach and linkages and referrals among different programs as appropriate
Budget management and assuring appropriate and timely spending of grants to achieve program goals
Ensure timely donor, internal and external reporting contributions
Actively contribute to proposal writing and budget /strategy development
Monitor the quality of the program at large, case management in particular and contribute to lessons learned
Human Resources Management
Manage, supervise and build the capacity of Child Protection team and volunteers associated with the program through mentoring, internal and external training opportunities.
Overall responsibility for staff timesheets, work plans, vacation schedules, and staff training/development activities.
Take responsibility for discussing job expectations, performance, and objectives on an informal, quarterly basis with all staff and as a part of the annual Performance Review and Planning Process.
Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for IRC programs in Zaatari.
Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs.
