NRC seeks an Educational Technologies Coordinator to lead the design and integration of educational technology in NRC's Education and Youth programmes in refugee camps and host community areas of Jordan. The Coordinator will develop a strategy on the role and integration of educational technologies (e.g. online learning, ITC training, ICT-based mobile learning etc.) to enhance learning outcomes. The Coordinator will build partnerships with other education organisations and oversee coordination between NRC Education and Youth programmes and partners. The Coordinator will provide technical input to programme staff and inform the development of an M&E system to ensure quality of implementation.

Generic responsibilities

• Contribute with CC specific technical competence to programme development, adjustment or review
• Contribute with CC specific technical competence to the development of CC strategy, macro logframe and plan of action
• Develop CC specific technical guidance, tools and mechanism
• Contribute to organisational learning through the provision of specific technical analysis, lessons learnt and reports
• Develop training modules and provide specific technical training for project staff
• Suggests new methods and approaches in order to improve the quality of the activities that meets the needs of beneficiaries.
• Identify, analyse and evaluate processes and gaps in the implementation of activities and make recommendations for improvement.
• Ensures compliance with NRC policies CC tools, handbooks and guidelines.
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. The line manager drafts the specific responsibilities and sends them to his/her line manager for approval.
• Lead the development of a strategy of integration of educational technologies and digital content for the NRC Education and Youth programmes in line with Core Competency overarching strategy and organizational policy
• Conduct analysis of available and existing educational digital content and best practices in educational innovation to enhance learning outcomes across educational levels (from basic to tertiary levels)
• Build partnerships with education organisations, including relevant line ministries, UN/NGOs and private sector, to integrate educational technologies and digital content into Education and Youth programmes
• Support the development of an M&E system to analyse the outcomes of the educational technologies and digital content strategy and to guide programmatic development
• Advise technical and programme staff on digital content to be used. Train and provide feedback to field and community staff on methodologies for using educational digital technologies.
• Provide guidance on technical specifications of equipment required for implementation of education technology and ensures coordination with NRC ICT team on standardisation of ICT hardware for response.
• Represent NRC in technical and professional fora, upon delegation.
• Participate in NRC's internal coordination (Jordan country office, regional office and head office) to inform strategy and planning.
