The position herein titled PSS, GBV Protection Officer. The position will be implemented in SAMS projects in collaboration with UNFPA. The position will require attending to the day-to-day contact and remote supervision of the GBV safe spaces, that provide PSS activities, allocated by UNFPA and implemented by SAMS.
To accomplish the above, the PSS, GBV Protection officer is expected to:
• Create activities and provide trainings for implementation, under the supervision of the PSS Programs manager.
• Work closely, yet remotely, with the PSS GBV staff inside Syria in order to provide the necessary supervision and monitoring of activities.
• Provide documentation for the activities occurring in the GBV Safe Spaces.
• Assist with creation and planning of activities for the GBV clients.
• Keep updated on research and therapeutic techniques for the treatment and care of GBV clients.
• Create and coordinate trainings for the PSS GBV staff .
• Network with other NGOs to expand services provided inside Syria to the GBV cliental.
• Attend all UNFPA protection working group meetings and trainings.
