Background/IRC Summary:
The IRC is providing support to hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees as well as Syrians inside their war-torn country. We are currently helping refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria. We provide medical and other critical aid, help women and girl victims of violence, and ensure refugees have access to their legal rights. With a continuing demand for response and a growing budget of over $66 million, the IRC is in need of an experienced Recruiter to lead staffing for newly funded projects and existing country programs within the Syria Crisis Response region (SRR).
The Recruiter will be responsible for filling positions that vary from short-term, emergency response, international and full-time needs to meet demands of donors and programs in the main offices, field locations and refugee camps. This individual will be responsible for pro-active sourcing, advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checking and final negotiations for open positions. S/he will also initiate and implement recruitment strategies to increase the IRC’s talent pool and pipelines, and will provide input to ensure the IRC has diverse global talent that performs at a high level responding to the changing needs of the organization. S/he will implement industry “best practices” that ensure the timely selection of top talent, and will recruit for talent that will support IRC’s organizational culture, while contributing to IRC’s position as an employer of choice.
