The purpose of the Technical Grants Officer position is to provide essential grant management support to the Grants Coordinator to deliver quality programmes in line with the NRC Country Office strategy and NRC Project Cycle Management (PCM) requirements. The Technical Grants Officer will support the development of quality donor proposals and reports, and support in maintaining an overview of all projects through internal grants management systems such as the grants tracker and regular Progress Review Meetings. (S)he will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining electronic and paper files of all grant related documentation.
1. Roles and Responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role:
Generic responsibilities
• Monitors the compliance with NRC policies, CC Tools, handbooks and guidelines and proposes new initiatives to bridge gaps and implements these.
• Monitors progress of own activities.
• Shares technical knowledge, develops systems and tools to enhance the quality of the project.
Specific responsibilities
• Support the development of reports and proposals in coordination with the Grants Coordinator and Core Competency Specialists, including monitoring conformity between NRC’s proposals/reports and global Macro Logframes, NRC policies and donor rules.
• Support in maintaining an overview of all grants, donor requirements, rules and regulations, and internal and external deadlines, including filing of grant documents and updating of grants tracker.
• Contribute to continuously improving internal grant management systems
• Support the organization of grant related meetings and events.
• Contribute to tracking partnership assessments and monitoring partnership implementation
• Conduct any other tasks related to grants and programs as requested by Grants Coordinator.
