Based in Amman, the MENA Projects Manager will report to GPG’s Regional Head and Country Representative for Jordan. The MENA Projects Manager will be responsible for:
- Representing GPG in Jordan, alongside the Country Representative.
- Maintaining contact with our project partners in parliament, government and the donor community.
- Delivery of project activities and objectives. This includes managing and updating the overall work plan, undertaking financial management of projects, and regular reporting to funders, under the supervision of the Country Representative.
- Co-ordination of arrangements for meetings during team and associates visits to Jordan.
- Organisational and administrative tasks related to GPG’s Representative Office in Amman.
- Identifying opportunities for expanding GPG’s work in Jordan and the region.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of the political developments in Jordan and the MENA region, and carrying out research in support of projects.
- Occasional English<>Arabic translation and interpreting tasks as required (large pieces of translation/interpretation are outsourced).
- Liaison with other GPG MENA projects managers on synergies between our existing projects.
- Travel within the region and to GPG’s London headquarters may be required.
