The organizational development (OD) Specialist position acts as organizational development liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates the organization's initiatives across the organization. The OD Specialist plans, develops, implements and administers HR programs for company employees. This position is also responsible for development and creation of SOPs, Job profiles and KPIs.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Create and implement programs at work that connect employees with business goals. By establishing KPIs
• Consult with management and other leadership to identify business processes in order to create SOPs.
• Identify and evaluate business initiatives to ascertain appropriate programs that meet company goals.
• Develop methods for data file formatting, data analysis methodologies, and management reporting.
• Identify data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks, and performance targets.
• Implement organizational effectiveness interventions.
• Create competency models.
• Develop team-building exercises and workshops.
• Develop methods of measuring of performance management.
• Diagnose potential organizational problem areas.
Major Activities:
• Directs the needs assessment for staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
• Identifies/incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
• Provides a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures.
• Facilitates communication among employees and management. May guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance.
• Provides expertise in SOPs development and execution.
• Assists with planning, implementation and ongoing maintenance of labor relations, employee relations and compensation programs.
• Develop and implement programs to align work force and key business initiatives through use of organizational effectiveness interventions.
• Assist the organization in areas of leadership development, organizational redesign, team development and change management.
• Operate as an organizational leader | internal consultant to identify, develop and implement business processes and organizational effectiveness interventions, as and when required.
• Act as a change agent providing the support and mechanism to implement major changes to the operations of the business and provide coaching to leaders and executives on organizational growth.
• Manage the process of replacement planning, succession planning, key employee retention design, change management, workforce management and development.
• Support organizational planning including creation of organizational charts, review of roles and responsibilities and job descriptions.
• Oversee employee compliance with all performance management processes (annual performance review process, goal setting, probationary reviews, employee development planning). Responsible for timely completion of performance reviews and evaluations for all employees.
• Identify and monitor company culture so that it supports the project's goals and promotes employee satisfaction. Conduct employee engagement focus groups within offices and operating locations to discuss staff concerns and suggestions.
