Job Overview/Summary: The IRC preparing to phase out of the unaccompanied and separated children project currently implemented directly in Azraq and Zaatari Camps. During the phase out period in 2016 the IRC aims at identifying, assessing and preparing a local partner (in cooperation with UNICEF and UNHCR) to take-over the direct implementation of the project. The Senior Capacity Building Officer will work closely with the CYPD Coordinator, the Child Protection Program Manager and the Capacity Building Specialist to ensure design and implementation of capacity building plan in child protection for the potential partner. In addition, she/he will support the design and implementation of capacity building plan for the IRC child protection staff and volunteers.
Major Responsibilities:
Support the Capacity Building Specialist in conducting staff assessment for the selected partner and design the capacity building plan.
Support the Capacity Building Specialist in implementing the capacity building plan for the partner including on-the-job training package.
Follow-up the implementation of the training plan (on-the-job) and provide individual feedback for all participants.
Prepare inputs for the post training assessment of the national partner and provide recommendations for the phasing out plan in relation to staff training and duration and modalities of the hand-over.
Support the Child Protection Manager with technical advice from the CYPD Coordinator to conduct a training needs assessment for the IRC child protection staff.
Participate in the design and implementation of the IRC child protection staff training plan.
