The Technical ICT officer for the NRC Jordan Country Office is responsible for ensuring all NRC Global & Local ICT policies and guidelines are implemented and to ensure the efficient and cost effective set-up, also will be responsible for training, ICT documentation and In-house systems development.
1. Roles and Responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.
• Provides direction, assigns tasks and gives instructions to staff, specifies their individual work plans and evaluates individual team members performance.
• Supports assigned staff in their professional development, identifies training needs, supports staff to achieve the objectives defined in their learning development plans and Provides advanced technical support and develops capacity-building initiatives to enhance the ICT technical knowledge and professional development of staff.
• Ensures compliance with NRC (global and national) policies and procedures, handbooks and guidelines and proposes new initiatives to bridge gaps.
• Develops systems and SOP's and makes sure they are implemented accordingly. Implements complex systems and procedures conform NRC policies, SOP's and handbooks.
• Develops with the assigned team, Quarterly activity plans and Feeds in the Quarterly team activity plan with technical experience and knowledge.
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. The line manager drafts the specific responsibilities and sends them to his/her line manager for approval.
• Develop, implement and manage a documentation system for ICT Department, Ensure the system is being used by ICT staff in all offices.
• Identify NRC Jordan staff ICT needs in coordination with the HR training unit to develop and implement training sessions to cover those needs.
• Support in developing in-house systems to improve NRC and ICT processes.
