- Interact with development team to identify data needs and potential issues as well as help design and implement solutions to the source system applications
- Expertise in programming complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, user defined functions and triggers
- Support database technologies involving high availability groups, clustering, mirroring, and replication
- Ensuring that all business critical processes and jobs are completing successfully
- Perform database back-up/recovery; perform fault analysis and resolution; monitor and manage database backups, logs, and maintenance
- Support the data modeling with the design of new databases to meet application requirements; support design and implementation of ETL processes between disparate systems; and continually maintain and support mission critical SQL Server applications
- Resolve SQL Server issues in development, QA and production environments
Promote and adhere to company database standards for security, coding, templates, connectivity and source control
- Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
