Job description - PIT Project Manager
The Jordanian Action for the Development of Enterprises - JADE - is part of a broader EU programme to support the private sector development (PSD) in Jordan, which intends to promote systemic change in the enterprise ecosystem supporting the economic development potential of Jordan and its private sector.
The project, based in Amman, Jordan, is aimed at improving the technical and management capacity within the enterprise and entrepreneurial ecosystems, in addition, to increasing the private sector competitiveness, through working with various business service providers, local Jordanian intermediaries, and a diverse group of other intermediaries, including incubators, chambers of commerce, and the industry.
In the framework of the implementation of JADE, lasting for a period of 3 years, the consortium, led by B&S Europe, and composed of Leaders Organization, the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, and the Jordan University for Science and Technology (JUST), is seeking to hire a Project Manager to be part of its Project Implementation Team (PIT). The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the JADE Project, and will lead the local team in Jordan.
Scope of Work:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and continuation of the JADE project, through managing the Project implementation Team (PIT) in an effective and efficient way, and in accordance to EU standards and regulations. The Project Manager should make certain that the project is going according to the intended plan and schedule, and implemented according to the highest international regulations and standards. In addition, to maintaining the proper relationship, and guarantying the proper reporting and visibility to the consortium members.

Tasks:
Planning:
• Coordinate the project with the team along with all the involved institutions locally and internationally.
• Accomplish human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and counselling the team according to the proper international standards.
• Ensure the selection of the proper and most eligible BDS providers.
• Be in charge of conducting hackathons, implementing workshops, developing and coordinating training programmes, organizing conferences and networking meetings and visits that will best serve both the PIT and the SMEs.
Development:
• Conduct capacity assessments within Jordan, to make certain the project is moving forth according to required regulations.
• Supervise the selection of SMEs, according to the proper criteria and required standards.
• Supervise the design of a voucher system for the selected enterprises.
• Provide the required business and technical support to the SMEs start-ups, selected via PIT.
• Supervise the development of a financial plan for the enterprises, according to the proper procedures and regulations.
• Supervise the communication and marketing campaign of the project, to represent JADE, and all the involved institutions in the best image.

Implementation:
• Ensure technical management, contracting, and financial procedures are followed within PIT.
• Enforce the procedures according to the proper regulations.
• Manage the workload and output of the team efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure quality control of outputs according to EU regulations and standards.
• Ensure the implementation and successfulness of the voucher system.
• Make certain the EU quality standards and visibility are met in all managerial decisions and procedures undertaken.
Stakeholders’ Management:
• Act as Liaison for the B&S Europe, Leaders Organization, the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce and the Jordanian University of Science and Technology, consultants, staff and beneficiaries
• Represent the consortium in Jordan in the best manner, according to EU regulations and standards.
Reporting:
• Communicate project expectations, planning, monitoring, and reviewing of outputs with both the team and the institutions involved.
• Attend meetings with the EU and partners, when needed, and update them on the performance of the project to date.
• Ensure the proper reporting mechanism of the budget and double entry system required by the EU.
