BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE:
- Manages, organizes and implements accounting and administrative operations and objectives; coordinates and integrates all activities toward achievement of established goals & objectives.
- Perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the school’s administration, and to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.

 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, manages, coordinates and implements the monthly and year end closing processes and procedures for the assigned accounting records; conducts year end closing process; provides information to financial auditors.
- Generates various system reports for audit calculations, ensures accuracy such as invoicing accounts payable, payroll processing & billing.
- Evaluates receipts, expenditure forms, purchase orders & supply orders for the purpose of ensuring compliance & control and ensures timely accounting of schools.
- Monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations: Reviews the monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including appropriate support; identify and follow up on anomalies to find an appropriate resolution.
- Reviews Fixed Assets and ensures that the documents adhere to the local accounting documentation standards.
- Ensuring timely completion of the annual statutory accounts and ensures timely filing of the accounts with all relevant local authorities and Coordinate execution of all daily accounting entries.
- Review and oversee payroll processing & related accrual calculations.
- Establishes system controls for new accounting systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems, in consultation with the corporate controller.
- Oversees facilities, technology, and materials utilized in the schools, coordinating with appropriate services.
- Resolve administrative problems and inquiries. Prepares written responses to routine inquiries on all administration related problems.
- Meet with various government officials as required to facilitate the School’s business processes.
- Ensure prompt renewal of all licenses to avoid business interruptions.
- Manage stock control and ordering of supplies with the procurement department (including stationery and letterhead, office sundries, stamps, kitchen supplies and office furniture). As well as to hold the budget for routine stationery and office supplies, and to ensure that these achieves value for money on these purchases.
