The Digital Skills Association aims to hire an Outreach and Fundraising Manager to support the preparation and implementation of DigiSkills’ activities and will report directly to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities of the Outreach and Fundraising Manager
Communication responsibilities:
1. Represent the council to stakeholders, and contacting corporate representatives, government officials, or community leaders to increase awareness of organizational causes, activities, or needs.
2. Serves as the Council’s spokesperson to the media and the general public and Attend community events, meetings, or conferences to promote organizational goals or solicit donations or sponsorships.
3. Develop the Council’s communication strategy including cooperative promotion, marketing communication, public relations, brand awareness and brand management.
4. Develop and distribute materials that explain or convey the Council’s vision, mission and objectives including marketing materials, like flyers and brochures, to be used for the promotion of the Council
5. Issuing press releases, arranging interviews, and compiling press kits or other promotional materials to increase awareness
6. Development and implementation of the annual partnership strategy
7. Creation and development of a strategic Fundraising plan that includes diversification of sources of financial sustainability, develop multichannel and effective fundraising programs
Fundraising responsibilities:
1. Develop corporate fundraising programs.
2. Compile or develop materials to submit to granting or other funding organizations.
3. Develop and maintain media contact lists.
4. Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions.
5. Recruit sponsors, participants, or volunteers for fundraising events.
6. Create or update donor databases.
7. Establish fundraising goals for special events or specified time periods.
8. Identify and build relationships with potential donors.
9. Monitor budgets, expense reports, or other financial data for fundraising organizations.
10. Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activities
11. Analyze the performance of events and other fundraising activities for effectiveness and to identify areas where money can be saved
12. Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications
13. Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities
14. Write reports or prepare presentations to communicate fundraising program data.
15. Other duties as assigned
Duration of Assignment
The contract period is for one year, renewable up on annual appraisal. The Manager - Outreach and Fundraising must diligently perform in a proper and efficient manner the duties set out within this ToR and any other tasks or responsibilities that may arise in relation to DigiSkills needs.
