Job Purpose

Under the supervision of the Area Coordinator, the Project Manager – school feeding (based in Zaatari refugee camp) is responsible for ensuring timely and high-quality project implementation through regular presence in the field, data collection for the monitoring of the school feeding program as well as for facilitation of Focus group discussions, Information dissemination events and any relevant ad-hoc activities as per request. Project Manager is responsible for supervision of Project officer – Azraq, Incentive based volunteers (IBVs) and Project assistants. Project manager must adhere to all relevant WFP, ACTED and camp SOPs and regulations. Visits to Azraq camp will be required when necessary to supervise the activities and team there.

Program manager will be in charge of the budget, procurements, logistics and other tasks needed to ensure the smooth-running of the project. 



Objectives

  • aims to contribute to the improved nutritional status of school children, whilst providing employment opportunities to the camp residents through Incentive based volunteering.  
  • will distribute date bars to schools in Za’atari and Azraq camps with support of camp IBVs, while raising awareness of the target school teachers/MoE focals and parents on nutrition, hygiene, waste management and other relevant subject through Information Dissemination sessions (IDEs), focus group discussions and Capacity building activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of Area coordinator, the Project Manager – school feeding will be required to conduct the following tasks:

i.                    Project Management;

  • Collection of attendance lists from schools in the area of operations;
  • On site monitoring of activities in Zaatari and sometimes Azraq
  • Stock management and daily distribution.
  • Implementation of Focus Groups Discussions, Information dissemination events, Capacity building and awareness raising activities;
  • Making sure that Gender Balance principles, PwSN procedures are in effect for inclusion and Child protection polices.
  • Train distribution volunteers on conducting activities relevant to project guidelines and procedures;
  • Ensuring the quality of the work of the project officer (Azraq), Project assistants and camp volunteers.
  • Provide capacity building opportunities for project team and camp volunteers
  • Contributing to daily, weekly and monthly reporting;
  • IBV recruitment, tracking and payments according to SoPs.

II. Project FLATS management:

  • Respect ACTED standard FLATS, (Finance, Logistics, Administration/Human Resource, Transparency and Security) procedures & guidelines.
  • Be familiar with security procedures and to respect all related regulations.
  • Provide necessary information for required monthly, quarterly and end of the project reporting

·        Contribute to the daily, weekly and monthly report development. IBV recruitment, tracking and payments according to SoPs.

  • Support in the filing of the Project support documentation in a proper manner
  • Monitor and oversee performances of the project team and  provide guidance, mentoring, coaching when needed;
  • Ensure close budget follow up and monthly reporting.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluation review of Field assistants through Performances Appraisal Form (PAF)
  • Support in any additional tasks added by line manager.
