compile reports to support information consistency and smooth implementation of programmes/projects.

JOB PURPOSE

In line with its mandate, WFP Jordan is keen to support the Jordanian Government’s Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) efforts by providing technical, financial, and logistic support to the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) to develop/implement and oversee the risk monitoring and impact analysis platform.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

1.   Work with stakeholders to create an inventory of relevant existing datasets which should be considered for the purposes of developing the Platform for Real-time Impact and  Situation Monitoring (PRISM) based on their use in EPR and DRR activities

2.   Prioritize datasets for inclusion in PRISM and work with government partners to obtain georeferenced data, ideally through programmatic means.

3.   Facilitate data sharing agreements with relevant institutions, if needed.

4.   Identify and document gaps in information required for discussion among stakeholders to potentially fill data gaps.

5.   To build a geospatial data repository for relevant socio-economic vulnerability indicators - collect, clean, validate and transform NCSCM data to GIS format.

6.   With support from WFP, lead configuration of existing and newly generated GIS data into PRISM and create an operational plan for ensuring data remains continuously     updated. 

7.   Identify technical barriers to adopting the system and create a plan to address potential issues impacting a successful deployment.

8.   Provide support in identifying gaps in data and information relevant to NCSCM needs.

9.   In cooperation with WFP colleagues and under the supervision of WFP HQ, configure and fine-tune PRISM instance of NSCSM and facilitate updates and maintenance of the platform.

10.   Produce any required technical documentation for NCSCM to independently manage PRISM
