Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental organization working in more than 40 countries in the fields of nutrition, food security and livelihoods, water sanitation and hygiene, and care practices. ACF is looking for its program in Jordan for Food Security & Livelihood Project Assistant - Data Entry
Work place: Irbid, with frequent field movement to Mafraq, Zarqa and Jaresh and other Action Against Hunger offices in the country
Position Overview:To Support FSL Deputy Program Manager in managing the flow of “Enhancing Self-Reliance of Vulnerable Refugees and Host Communities through Integrated Livelihoods and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support” project Data and Information, Compline data and quality control.
Responsibilities:
1) Conduct Data Compiling and entries:
- Check the quality of data to be entered and report any problems encountered;
- Evaluate the time required to process data and feedback on progress in processing;
- Enter data into the specialised software using consistent formatting;
- Weekly follow up and updates on potential and registered beneficiaries over the database and the specialized software;
- Detect missing or redundant data and propose possible improvements;
- Assist the FSL DPM with database quality control and inform him/her of any technical problems.
2) Ensure Proper Data archiving:
- File beneficiaries lists (hard copy and soft copy) and IT data in an organized fashion that is accessible to all (clear file names, well organized files etc.);
- Follow date coding and provide new codes for new beneficiaries cases;
- Perform weekly back-up of data entered on a disk or CDRom.
3) Gather together the elements required for the analysis of data:
- Sort and cross-check data;
- Create tables of statistics;
- Draft reports of results based on data entered.
4) Ensure adherence to Action against Hunger gender requirements
- Commit and comply with the organization gender, age and diversity principles & policies (working with people, communication)
- Support on the implementation and the promotion of gender, age and diversity principles through daily activities and or through the management of their teams (Managing performance & development)
- Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive information at all times
- Perform other job related tasks as requested by the supervisor
