Purpose of the job:
This position will manage in-transit shipments tracking until port arrival with direct supervision of customs clearance process until receiving in warehouse. The role will be extended to warehouse and inventory management by direct supervision of Logistics Service Provider warehouse.
Logistical operations management requires balancing Cost, Service Level and Inventory by effectively balancing business rules with compliance and performance.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful applicant is responsible for:
- Warehousing:
• Check inventory accuracy daily through system comparison, cycle count and semiannual counts.
• Classify physical storage location within warehouse into unrestricted area, and Block area, and manage them respectively.
• Monitor efficiency of warehouse utilization periodically.
• Process in which Size/Dimension information of products are managed in system accurately as with the actual product.
• Process of transferring inventory between storage locations and warehouses for securing inventory availability and balancing inventory between locations.
• Process of stock-write off and manage physical scrapping with an authorized scrapping company.
• Manage return goods receiving to inventory and valuation change of the stock with reference to internal policies.
- Inbound:
• Monitor the inbound phase of the logistics process and make sure that there are no errors (wrong destination, wrong information...etc.) from factory, forwarders or shipping lines to port ATA during shipping and communicate the correct action with the related party if there is any.
• Pre check on the documents with factories in relation to Customs, Tax & Free Trade agreement regulations for the incoming shipments before receiving the original docs at the office.
• Ensure visibility of logistics information by sharing logistics data with sales departments from production port departure to sales GR.
• Monitor port ATA accuracy with shipping lines and update any change accordingly to maintain On-Time GR lead-time.
• Manage & provide Customs Clearance requirements such as: “Telecommunication Regulatory Commission” approvals, “Jordan Standards & Metrology Organization” requirements, serial number list…etc.
• Prepare Customs Duty Payments through system whether directly to customs or to LSP.
• Monitor transportation broker performance and take necessary action with LSP when/ where needed.
