The National Orthodox School / Shmaisani (NOS) is recruiting talented, inspiring and highly qualified English Home Room Teachers for Elementary stage 1 - 3 for the scholastic year 2016 / 2017. Applicants must be motivated with keen interest in motivating and inspiring students to love learning.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of an English home room teacher is to help the students to acquire a base for their English skills, Math and Science education. The duties will range from the preparation of scheme of work, lesson plans and the marking of work handed in. In addition to that, the Home Room Teacher has to also arrange any extracurricular activities and set targets for the students. The tasks also will include the following (but not limited to):
• Having / developing great knowledge about the School’s policies, practices, expectations and curriculum.
• Planning, preparing and involving students in the learning process as well as making the classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Assessing students' class work and assignments.
• Encouraging students to actively participate.
• Maintaining the highest possible standards in all work areas.
• Maintaining good student behavior, both in and out of the homeroom promoting the values of respect, responsibility and relationships.
• Participating in all agreed extra-curricular activities, programs and projects which support the School program and the development of the students.
• Maintaining classroom discipline.
• Undertaking additional responsibilities as may reasonably be required by the School Principal.
