NRC is starting two new project for basic needs and shelter in Mafraq, with plans to scale-up to start implementing large-scale projects in the near future. The Community Service Technical Assistants are a field-based position working within the community conducting vulnerability assessments and follow up with NRC beneficiaries. 1. Roles and Responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.
• Develops own weekly activity planning.
• Provides CC technical support to beneficiaries.
• Adheres to NRC policies CC tools, handbooks and guidelines.
• Identifies gaps, problems in the implementation area of own activities.
• Prepares and files accurate records of project activities and ensures all information is accurate and available in time.
• Collaborate with relevant local authorities and/or stakeholders. Serves as a link between NRC programs and local community. Shares and collects information.
• Reports protection concerns to line manager (s).
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly. The line manager drafts the specific responsibilities and sends them to his/her line manager for approval.
• The Community Service Technical Assistant is responsible for the liaison with the project community and the maintenance of good relations between NRC and the project communities and other stakeholders. This includes aiding in the coordination of activities of technical staff in project areas and consulting with NRC project team regarding appropriate and effective community approach;
• Collect and report information regarding the situation of displaced refugee families living in host communities with specific attention to the targeted project location and beneficiaries;
• Collect and report information regarding the situation of Jordanian families in the Governate with specific attention to the targeted project location and beneficiaries;
• Assist beneficiaries by: (1) clearly describing NRC technical project criteria; (2) providing assistants and support during implementation of projects, and (3) provision of accurate information about NRC and its activities
• Maintain community and beneficiaries program files and data base to a high standard complete with up to date information
• Explain project aims and objectives to beneficiaries through daily contact and the organization of regular meetings
• Conduct post distribution monitoring visits and produce relevant written reports
• Act as referral point for the beneficiaries.
