Job Summary:
The Communications and Reporting Officer is responsible for the preparation and implementation of a comprehensive communications and reporting strategy for SES II.. The Reports Officer ensures that SES II has an effective external profile amongst its immediate stakeholders and the general public, its internal communications needs are met and its reporting requirements to USAID are completed at a high quality standard. The Communications and Reporting Officer reports to the RAMEL Manager and works in close collaboration with all project unit managers.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Provide high quality editorial support with regard to all major contract deliverables, internal operational documents and other formal written project materials;
• Ensure full compliance with USAID communications and branding requirements; and
• Develop and maintain formal SES II templates and USAID style guides for the project;
• Provide leadership for the effective design and implementation of SES II ’s external communications, outreach and information sharing activities as approved by USAID;
• Provide targeted information on SES II activities and achievements to necessary stakeholders with appropriate approval from the COP and USAID including photography, videography and other media materials.
• Manage SES II formal reports library and archive reporting system and other management information systems.
• Under guidance from the COP manage the production of all SES II reports/deliverable as required by USAID, including the collation and editing of contributions from all involved parties.
• Design and implement strategies to facilitate and encourage communications amongst project staff with regard to success stories, best practices, lessons learned and collaborative opportunities with the aim of enhancing Facility outcomes.
