Summary:
The CSO Capacity Development Officer will report to the Director of Governance and will work collaboratively with SESII staff to plan, manage, and implement activities in the following areas: programming, research and evaluation, program design and coordination, grant/contract management, grant and report writing, and publications/materials development. Other responsibilities include supporting communication activities and establishing and maintaining partnerships with CSO/NGO counterparts to advance SESII’s mission. The CSO Capacity Development Officer position requires community engagements knowledge and experience as well as excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills and the exercise of extensive discretion, independent judgment, and political acumen.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assist the coordination and design of technical for programs and initiatives, helping to ensure that SESII technical implementations adhere to IRD strategy and are technically sound and responsive to program;
• Provide support to develop and disseminate tools, materials, reports, and papers related to Civil Society Organization;
• Work closely with SESII teams to ensure activities are implemented according to standard operating procedures;
• Assist in developing and disseminating tools, materials, reports, and papers related to program design for Civil Society Organization;
• Assist with SESII development planning and in training staff in capture and program development processes and tools.
