- Check that number of boxes and their contents correspond with transportation documents.
-Put the items away in accordance with the system in place.
- Help prepare and dispense prescription and provide patient education on medications.
- Participate in the department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance (carrying out inventories, carrying out stock takes of medicines and material, checking its quality and its functioning, storage conditions, doing follow-up of expired drugs, etc.).
- When Pharmacist is away enters daily/weekly /monthly consumption.
- Participate in data collection, analysis and reporting as required.
- Check contents of emergency boxes and expiry dates, With Nursing Supervisor ensure proper documentation for use of emergency medications.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of and provide patient care according to MSF/ MoH guidelines.
- In collaboration with Pharmacist, ensures good condition of the stock (physical premises) and shelves and, refers any problem to his/her direct supervisor.
- Ensure daily briefings are given to both hierarchical and technical supervisors, problems encountered, emergency patients, referrals made, safety issues and any other relevant information.
- Participate in preparation and delivery of in- house training of the staff (quality of care, patient and staff safety, update of protocols).
-Remain physically present in the pharmacy, particularly when someone outside the pharmacy team is in there.
- Check daily consumption registered and verify that it matches with the (weekly) order.
