Job Overview/Summary:
The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for assisting in managing operations functions for the IRC Mafraq Office including but not limited to procurement, and support to facilities/offices located at Irbid, Ramtha, Mafraq, Zaatari Camp, Azraq Camp, and any other new locations. The Supply Chain Assistant reports directly to the Supply Chain Officer for Mafraq outline the most prominent responsibilities that are primary and fundamental to the position. 6-8 key responsibilities are recommended.
Major Responsibilities:
Procurement
• Focal point for daily procurements within the Camp.
• Ensure that procurement is carried out in accordance to IRC and donor-specific polices and procedures.
• Ensure that all materials purchased are of appropriate quality and price and are delivered on time.
• Monitor delivery of goods to the camp; assist and coordinate transportation of procured items to IRC locations in Azraq
• Generate all required procurement documentation and submit all records and files to Operations Manager for reporting.
Assist in preparing all related documentation to the Guards contracts and payments in the camp i.e. drafting contracts, preparing payment requests.
Logistics
• Responsible for tracking all IRC assets and property including ICT equipment, furniture, supplies, etc.
• Ensure that asset and inventory management is carried out in accordance wth IRC policies.
• Manage secure storage of unassigned assets, equipment, and supplies.
• Respond to any maintenance-related issues (water, electricity, etc) within the camp.
• Daily check of all IRC facilities and operating areas in Azraq to ensure that facilities are in good working order; no damages or safety/security gaps.
• Other tasks as required and requested.
Security
• In coordination with Safety and Security Officer, monitor guards to ensure that they are maintaining proper schedules and fulfilling their duties
• Deliver guard payments
• Report any safety and security-related issues and incidents to Safety and Security Officer
