Summary:
The Training Officer will primarily manage the design, delivery and evaluation of competency-based training for SESII staff, partners and beneficiaries.
Job Function/ Description:
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
a. Design and Implementation of Competency-based Training
• Coordinate with SESII program staff to review, revise, evaluate and monitor a comprehensive set of competencies designed to prepare trainees.
• Develop and implement a training curriculum based on the competencies referenced above to integrate the following major areas: technical skills for specific development activities.
• Utilize a variety of non-formal, adult education techniques in the delivery of training, including remote training.
• Oversee the development and submission of all training center documents, including a calendar in advance of each training cycle and a post-cycle evaluation, the annual Training Status Report, and progress reports and evaluations of trainees.
• Prepare the final evaluation of trainees at close of each cycle, and recommend to the Director of Governance the readiness of trainees to perform their assignments.
b. Leadership and Management of Training Staff
• Facilitate a team of trainers, volunteer co-trainers and administrative staff in the implementation of training center curriculum and goals.
• Facilitate staff meetings for training center staff and work closely with the Governance Director to develop frequent communication with other SESII team who are involved with each training cycle.
• Promote a sense of collaboration, mutual respect and positive interaction between the training center staff, trainees and central office staff.
• Design and coordinate Training of Trainers sessions prior to each cycle.
• Collaborate with Governance Director and SESII team on the design and implementation of training and Reconnect sessions with Syrian volunteers.
• Evaluate training center personnel in collaboration with Governance Director.
