Job Location: Za'atari Camp
DIMENSIONS:
• Work pattern is a mixture of proactive and project work, no routine and often high pressure.
• Required to make sound judgements regularly within agreed processes using a good understanding of the team and the abilities of the team.
• Assist the project team for quality delivery of the programme, building accountability and documenting learning.
• You will have detailed knowledge of assisting community mobilisation and hygiene promotion activities, procedures.
• Work patterns are not routine and often high pressure.
• Flexibility, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for humanitarian work
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Programme Implementation
1. Work with the MEAL team in developing and strengthening accountability mechanisms at community level;
2. Conduct training of community groups (adult and children) on hygiene promotion and proper use of WASH facilities
3. Conduct data collection related to public health indicators (at household and community level);
4. Contribute in timely and quality reporting on WASH activities to Community Mobilisation Officer
5. Assist in collecting best practices, case studies which demonstrate qualitative and quantitative changes over the period.
6. Assist in reviews, learning events, surveys at project locations.
7. Delivering any other responsibility assigned by the line manager.
8. Assist the Public Health Engineering team throughout the planning, design and implementation stages
9. To assist in reports regularly, verbally and in writing to Community Mobilization Officer
10. To assist in brief press, media, other agency staff and Oxfam supporters as agreed with the Country Representative
11. To assist in ensuring that all programmes take gender issues fully into account. This includes the introduction of mechanisms to enable women to participate in decision making around public health issues.
