1. Work under the JRC Disaster Management Unit existing structure and technically supported by the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement Livelihoods Delegate, and responsible for all aspects of the livelihoods file for JRCS
2. Develop Jordan Red Crescent internal and external livelihoods policy identify, technical capacity needed, programming gaps.
3. Serves as focal, reference and coordinating point on livelihoods for internal JRCS colleagues at headquarters and in branches, and for partners both within the Movement (i.e. ICRC, RC/RC PNS) and external to it (i.e. INGOs, UN agencies etc.)
4. Internally coordinate, facilitate and ensure coherence and mainstreaming of all livelihoods-related activities between within JRCS headquarters, branches and (in close coordination with the JRCS social programmes team) with JRCS-supported counselling, advisory and vocational training centre delivering livelihoods-related support
5. Support and facilitate appropriate and relevant training and capacity building of JRCS staff and volunteers involved in supporting livelihoods activities
6. Support JRCS headquarters and branches to deepen data collection and analysis for livelihoods support opportunities in identified areas - both from affected communities, and in terms of market, value chain and labour market analysis
7. Support the development and implementation of livelihoods pilot proposals designed and implemented by JRCS branches, either independently, or in partnership with Movement components or external partners
8. Support monitoring, and after action reviews/rapid impact evaluations of pilot projects undertaken in order to identify lessons learned - and with a view to potential scale up if deemed appropriate by JRCS management
9. Coordinate support, facilitation and appropriate positioning for JRCS livelihoods activities conducted in partnership with external agencies - both INGOs and UN agencies (e.g. UNHCR, WFP, FAO etc.)
10. Support, facilitate, and eventually lead internal livelihoods-related coordination - with JRCS management at headquarters, JRCS livelihoods focal points at branch level in coordination with Vocational Training Center, ICRC EcoSec Coordinator and area-based delegates and staff, and other Movement representatives as appropriate.
11. Support, facilitate, and eventually lead external livelihoods-related coordination - representing JRCS in coordination meetings with key stakeholders such as the Early Recovery and Livelihoods Sector, the Food Security and Agriculture Sector, JRCS partner INGOs, UN agencies, relevant Government of Syria line ministry representatives, and others as required - fostering co-operative alliances where appropriate
12. Coordinate and contribute reporting, including minutes of meetings, monthly updates on JRCS livelihoods activities, and other reporting as required
13. Raise awareness of livelihoods concepts and programming options among JRCS multidisciplinary staff at HQ and with staff and volunteers at branch level, in line with JRCS’s policy and strategy on livelihoods
14. Manage a beneficiary registration system for delivery and monitoring of livelihoods support to identified target groups
15. Support appropriate accountability and beneficiary communications activities as required
16. Ensure coherence among livelihoods programmes being supported by JRCS in partnership with other Movement actors and external partners
17. Keep up to date with livelihoods programming in country by other actors and coordinate as necessary, including networking with and attending meetings organised by humanitarian actors working on livelihoods in Syria
18. Attend and provide progress reports to the Movement Livelihoods technical working group on a regular basis
19. Document learning for JRCS and disseminate in order to build in-house capacity for livelihoods programming
