This position plays a significant part in assessing and qualifying procedures and systems which include compliance checks, following up on complaints and participation in administrative investigations, with a primary emphasis on risk management, mitigation and process improvement in line with NRC’s global methodologies.
Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
- Contribute to the effective implementation of, and compliance with key organisational policies and procedures within NRC Jordan.
- Evaluate the soundness, adequacy, and effectiveness of operating policies, procedures, and controls, in the key areas of the NRC Jordan program and support functions and monitor compliance in the implementation of those policies and guidelines.
- Ensure a strategic and compliant approach to administrative investigations procedures in the NRC Jordan Country office in accordance with the NRC investigation guidelines.
- Ensure the effective implementation of, and compliance with, key organisational policies including Counter-Terrorism and Fraud, Bribery and Corruption
- Prepare investigation plans and coordinate administrative investigations for the NRC Jordan Country office.
- Evaluations of NRC programs and support functions in terms of cost effectiveness and overall value for money to be followed with recommendations and implementation monitoring.
- Capacity building of NRC Jordan staff on topics of quality operating standards, accountability and anti-corruption.
Specific responsibilities
- Ensure that the corruption risk mapping is conducted annually and all mitigations are being followed up with.
- Responsible for carrying out spot checks and reporting findings and recommendations for improvements.
- Develop recommendations arising from internal and external audits and evaluations into actionable steps and support managers to implement needed changes.
- Ensure that a risk assessment exercise is conducted annually and all actions are put in place.
- Support continuous improvement of operational standards.
- Provide quarterly reporting to the Head of Support.
