Standard function description:
- Presents ICRC principles, mandate and activities to interlocutors and beneficiaries
- Executes field tasks mainly independently
- Translates institutional and non-institutional documents
- Supervises and coaches national society volunteers
- Contributes in the implementation and follow-up of a project (within the department)
- Maintains contacts with external interlocutors such as authorities at district level, local RC Branches, suppliers, etc.
- Makes written reporting on the activities including contribution to the Bi-WoR, QER, BfR, PfR
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Office activities (reports and statistics):
- Makes regular written contributions to the ICRC institutional reporting, follows and reports on the progress of projects, including statistical analysis;
- Provides statistics or other reports when required;
- Assures timely reception and compilation of the MSR data;
- Participates in the preparation of the BFR and QER reports;
- Prepares the inputs for the Facts & Figures;
- When requested, contributes to the preparation of official letters, agreements and contracts.
Data Collection and Processing:
Ensures that proper data collection is carried out according to standard forms and procedures and reports any discrepancy to the EcoSec delegate;
Ensures that data are regularly recorded in the EcoSec database, in a reliable manner;
Extracts cumulative tables for regular programme updates and EcoSec analyses;
Assists the EcoSec delegate in preparation of meetings and briefing materials
External relationship:
- Participates and develops working relationship with members of humanitarian community in AoR.
Project Planning:
- Participates in the setting up, implementation and monitoring of the assistance programmes, upon request of the EcoSec delegates in the sub-delegation and/or EcoSec Co;
- Participates in assessments leading to new project elaboration;
- Participates actively in the elaboration of the weekly planning of EcoSec activities;
- When requested, participates in monitoring and evaluation of the program, compiles gathered data, drafts the recommendations for programme adjustment
Support to EcoSec activities:
- Makes regular progress reports (oral briefings or written reports upon request) to the EcoSec delegate about the implementation progress of EcoSec activities;
- Proposes clarifications and/or amendments to the used forms and procedures;
- Understands the specificities of the local context and maintain regular and transparent contacts with local stakeholders (esp. heads of communities, local authorities, NGO representatives…);
- Facilitate the exchange of information between EcoSec and other departments on EcoSec issues pertaining to his/her area of competency;
Field Activities (per assignment):
- Is willing and able to travel within the country for extended periods and spend up to 70% of his/her work in the field;
- Conducts field assessment and monitoring visits in the assigned AoR;
- Participates on meetings, takes minutes and assures follow-up;
- Performs selection, monitoring and post distribution visits (household level);
- Applies independently the ICRC vulnerability criteria and other working methodologies - as per the valid programme guidelines and the SOP;
- Explains the ICRC assistance criteria to beneficiaries, local representatives and assistance requesters;
- Records assessment and monitoring data onto EcoSec forms/questionnaires in a consistent and precise manner;
- When required, responsible for managing the distribution point, including among others: distribution organization, paperwork, problem solving, JRCS volunteer coaching, etc;
- Participates in trainings and skill-consolidation sessions

Respects and observes the staff regulations of the ICRC in Jordan
