1. Receive the requests of raw and packaging materials required for the production process from the planning department, and also for other miscellaneous items required by company departments.
2. Request quotations for the required materials from different approved suppliers.
3. Handle the valuation and comparison of the offered quotations with the purchasing manager concerning the price, delivery date and payment methods as well as the related technical department concerning the quality & specifications.
4. Negotiate with suppliers on prices, delivery times and payment terms.
5. Issue purchase orders for the required items to approved suppliers.
6. Process issued purchase orders to ensure that materials are received on time.
7. Secure all documents related to the purchased items, such as the invoices, certificates of analysis, packing lists, drug master files, and any other related documents that may be needed.
8. Enter all inputs of issued purchase orders on the ERP System.
9. Process the received orders with the receiving officer.
10. Follow up with suppliers and quality department in case of receiving any material out of specifications.
11. Compare the received invoice with the purchase order amount to ensure that the quantity and amount are identical to the purchase order.
12. Submit monthly reports and analysis reports needed by management.
13. Search for new suppliers and follow up on their approval process.
