Job Overview/Summary: The Finance Officer in the Mafraq Office performs the day-to-day finance operations. He/she works with the Senior Finance Officer in the maintenance and oversight of the accounting operations to ensure that all finance operations in Mafraq are performed in accordance with IRC and country office policy and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
Specific duties
To get all ready cheque singed from authorized signatories.
Assist in the implementation of Finance policies, procedures and systems.
Ensure compliance with IRC procedures and guidelines.
Verify completeness and accuracy of all accounting documents.
Check and verify the accuracy of PRTS for Mafraq Office. Also to make sure that there is no open PR/PO in closing grant(s).
Calculation, deduction, and reconciliation of Tax.
Focal person for Prescriptions (Mobile and Static Clinics) payments. To follow up with program to submit pending payments and to ensure that payments are made on bi-weekly basis to Pharmacies. Also to keep up to date record for prescription payments VS PR(s)
Prepare Bank reconciliation.
Check on finance record to make sure all documents are in place with proper approval. Matching spreadsheet with hard copy.
Liaison with Supply Chain, HR and Programs.
Verify payments with paying attention to all Purchase Orders and Purchase Requests for proper coding and budget adequacy.
Focal person on SPCE allocation.
Compliance check of financial transactions/Verify all payments & Advance liquidation, and to ensure that payment is processed within 3 days.
Any other task assigned by supervisor(s).
