Position Title: Livelihood Officer
Reports to: Livelihood Coordinator.

Supervises: Project Assistants, Facilitators and Volunteers

Background:
The Lutheran World Federation, in response to the Syrian refugee crisis, established operations in Jordan in 2012. The Lutheran World Federation is assisting refugees and vulnerable groups in Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, Mafraq and Za’atari camp. The Lutheran World Federation is running projects related to Education, WASH, Livelihood, Protection, Rehabilitation and Humanitarian Assistance.

Scope of Work:
The Livelihood Officer will be responsible for quality and timely implementation of Life skill activities implemented under LWF’s psychosocial emergency or/and resilience programming.

PROJECT
- Ensure quality Implementation of Livelihood activities as laid out in the detailed project implementation plan.
- Identification/verification and registration of beneficiary households for the Life skill project.
- Ensure regular monitoring of Livelihood activities based on the project(s) monitoring plans.
- Participate in the planning and executing needs identification exercises through participatory needs assessments.
- Ensure timely implementation of Life skill project activities.
- Closely work with the Project Manager and logistic team to ensure all supply request related to the project activities are timely delivered and according to procedures.
- Provide required support to the field level project team including project assistants and volunteers for timely implementation of activities
- Document all progress, challenges, and learning happening across project period for future implementation of similar projects and accountability.
- Be the focal person for assessments in the operational area for Livelihood interventions.
- Be active at the field level in coordination forums related to of Livelihood activities.
- Provide technical support to the Partner Project staff working on seed and fertilizer distribution, guiding and supporting them in technical and administratively on activity implementation procedures
- Participate in facilitating capacity building activities on Livelihood programming to partner CBOs
- Organize and conduct relevant trainings to the beneficiaries relating to specific project activities.
Communication
- Support in collection of case studies and beneficiary stories from the project location.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Supervise project assistant and volunteers at the field level.
EXTERNAL REPRESENTATION
- As may be delegated by the Project Manager, represent LWF to the relevant sector working groups.
- As may be requested, support in facilitating field visits for external partners/LWF visitors.
