Reports directly to the Area Coordinator
A. General
• Working in Jordan with representaves of Syrian Implementing Partners operational inside southern Syria to develop data colection tools for accurate program monitoring activities
• Developing work plans and indicators for monitoring teams in coordination with the Implementing Partners and area coordination
• Collecting quantitative and qualitative data on ACTED programs
• Closely coordinating with local Implementing Partners for data collection and data entry of information collected through AMEU assesments and program data
• Liaising with Program Management and compliance teams to ensure timely transfer of program data and documentation that has been validated for accuracy
B. Development of data collection tools and methodologies
• Working with ACTED PMand Area coordinator to review appropriate information collection methodologies as follows:
- All waybills, to be provided by the local partner as proof of receipt of food parcels
- All beneficiary distribution lists (pre and post-distribution) and distribution plans, including validation against ID cards
- Exit distribution and post-distribution monitoring forms
- Video and photography-based monitoring documents
• Use the above tools to validate Implementing Partner reports, specifically: stock movement reports, financial reports, distribution monitoring reports, stock movement reports, and distribution lists themselves.
• Assist by translating the above tools.
• Providing training to ACTED staff and Implementing Partners in the use of monitoring and tools developed
• Finding technological solutions for data collection and data entry particularly related to smartphone applications
• Ensuing knowledge and understanding of donor reporting requirements and ensuing coherence of methods to satisfy reporting requirements
C. Field Management and Data Collection
• Work closely with Project Management and Area Coordination for the effective liaison with field monitors following each distribution for oversight and management of field monitors’ activities.
• Coordinate and support the work of Monitors (data collectors), ensuring their assignments are completed accurately and on time by checking their work plan and field reports.
• Ensuring transparent, accurate and timely collection of data by administrating post-distribution surveys, gathering beneficiary data and distribution lists distribution and stock movement reports, etc.
• Collation of GPS tagged and dated photographs of ongoing activities in southern Syria
• Facilitate GPS collection for mapping of activities.
• Liaise closely with FLATS teams to ensure veracity of program documentation provided by Implementing partners
D. Reporting
• Cleaning of collected data and data analysis, using statistical formulas and graphical representations of data
• Assimilate and relay to the PM and Area Coordinator narrative reports on project progress as provided by the Implementing Partners
• Ensure that Implementing Partners’ reporting schedules as they relate to AMEU activities are completed on time and to high standard
• Responsible for the proper documentation of AMEU records at the Field level.
• Working closely with beneficiary Databases to provide accurate data and where necessary assist the data entering
• Cross-checking the accuracy of data entry from Field Monitors, and Program documentation provided by Implementing Partners
• Responsible to draft initial reports on data collected by the AME field monitors inside Syria or from secondary sources, under the supervision and guidance of Area Coordinator
• Responsible for timely sharing initial findings of the monitoring reports with program and area coordination.
• Tracking recommendations from assessments are incorporated into project design and development
