The Translator will be responsible for translating written documents and spoken words from one language to another. The Translator will perform intermediate translation of data and information of a technical nature relating to good governance and will have frequent interaction with English and Arabic staff translating and interpreting to provide basic information and/or occasional detailed procedural explanations or technical concerns.
- Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Translating written materials from English to Arabic and Arabic to English at a professional level, this includes but is not limited to: correspondence, reports, presentations, data forms, etc.;
- Assisting Arabic speaking staff to understand required project procedures which are in English;
- Assisting project staff with verbal communication as needed;
- Providing translation/interpreting services to staff, clients, and community partners as required;
- Assist in linguistic work as required and undertake other duties from time to time as may reasonably be required.
