Provides cleaning/housekeeping/laundry services for the ICRC premises
Prepares coffee and tea
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning office furniture; desks, shelves, chairs, cabinets, tables, doors, windows (rails, mosquito nets, glass from inside and outside), curtains as per specified schedule, and the daily emptying of the trash bins.
- Cleaning the floor (broom and mop), and main entrances.
- Cleaning bathrooms (toilet, sink, mirror, sweep & mop floors and walls), and daily emptying of waste paper bins. Replacing the toilet paper, hand towels and soap dispensers. Keeping reasonable stock of such items.
- Prepare and receive basement order for coffee break & cleaning material items.
- General checkup for all places and perform whatever is deemed necessary like cleaning stand light reflectors, high edges, corners …etc.
- Cleans the kitchen more in detail (cooker and stove, inside fridge, kitchen cabinets etc.)
- Moves all other movable equipments in the kitchen (cooker, fridge…) and clean behind
Assigned areas to be cleaned and served are:
- Maintenance offices
- Basement public area
- Basement kitchen
- Toilets
- Store rooms
- Boiler room
- Driver’s caravan
- Dispatch office
- Parking office
- Security office
- Security booth
- Staircase from entrance to basement
- Prayer room
- Reporting any maintenance requests to the supervisor.
- Serve Tea and coffee to employees according to coffee serving times and standard.
- Maintain kitchen ware clean and well stored.
- Assist office clerk when requested.
- Perform any additional tasks requested by the supervisor.
General Duties:
Be aware of the delegations objectives and activities
Understand the three components of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
Apply the security rules at all times
Respect and observe the staff regulations of the ICRC in Jordan.
The employee may be asked to perform other duties not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when and if necessary.
