GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Controls and keeps records of MSC Containers movements, forecasts and tracks Aqaba and Amman depots, update Agency and principal with timely manner reports, as per Agency and Principal instructions and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES, BACKUP & FREQUENCY
1- Maintains updated data regarding MSC Containers movements in Amman depots: by receiving daily reports from each depot in Amman of all MSC gated in and out containers by email, and updating same on excel sheet, and inserting gated in (MTIN) containers on IBOX system on a daily basis.
2- Keeps Agency departments updated with Amman depots stock: by preparing daily depot summary report which contains totals and types of MSC Containers in depots, free and reserved containers, and a forecast of gated in containers based on the submission of no return letters on a daily basis.
3- Maintains updated records of MSC Containers movements in ACT: by converting containers movement file received from Aqaba into CODECO file, updating missing movement from ACT page if file demonstrates errors, and keep record of the final correct file by updating it on IBOX, on a daily basis.
4- Controls container release process from Amman depots: by providing the shipper/ Client with container release letters properly filled with container numbers, types and totals as per the pre shipping order, and export offer, and providing the depot with a copy of same on a daily basis.
5- Monitoring the process of non-return Containers: by keep following up depot stock status and advise acceptance accordingly, ensures that CRN are valid before acceptance of gating in, and check that non return containers are not damaged. (upon request)
6- Keeps Principal and Agency updated with ACT stock: by preparing daily empty storage report which contains empty containers number and types in ACT storage yards and their storage cost.
7- Keeps Principal updated with MSC empty containers storage cost: by preparing empty storage fees report on a weekly basis, and sending the terminal storage report to Principal monthly, which summarizes loaded empty containers storage fees per vessel according to the invoices received from Aqaba office.
8- Updates Principal and Agency with Intermodal Cost: by preparing a weekly report for the on carriage and Pre carriage cost occurred during each vessel and sending the report to Principal on a weekly basis.
9- Controls the un-returned empty containers: by contacting the clearance companies to check the status of the un-returned empty containers, the reason of delay, and to have an estimate of empty return date. a report of same is sent to the management on a weekly basis.
10- Maintains accurate records among Agency and Amman depots: by sending monthly reports of Amman gated out and Haifa gated out containers for each depot on a monthly basis.
11- Maintain Database, proper communication and smooth work flow by: backing up emails and relative correspondences, keeping managing director, direct managers and concerned parties read in copy in all emails, taking prior approvals to vacations, personal leaves, and keeping the state of job and the relative job passwords available and known to direct manager/ and or back up. On a daily basis.
12-Maintains Technical and professional knowledge: by being updated of new regulations, participating in training courses and workshops, reading professional related publications.
13-Contributes to team effort and achieving Principal and company mission: by performing any given task and completing the results as needed.
ADDITIONAL TASKS
- Prepare and submit import cargo file to custom via ASYCODA.
- Sends report for damaged import containers to the principal and subject port of loading for each vessel.
