- Know, apply and make sure universal hygiene standards and security rules are respected for medical premises, routing of patients, routing
of linen.
- Ensure asepsis rules during all nursing cares.
- Organise and carry out care and treatments according to doctor’s prescription and MSF protocols.
- Carry out surveillance of the patient, assessment of his health state evolution, identification of emergency situation and information of the doctor.
- Assist the doctors during their daily rounds and inform them of the progress of each patient.
- Ensure that medical prescriptions are readable, dated and signed.
- Take patients’ medical parameters while returning from the OT and record them on the appropriate document (depending on the working location, and requirements).
- Organize and assist in the patient transfer inside and outside the MSF facility according to MSF need.
- Transportation of patient inside the hospital and outside hospital with ambulance.
- Ensure that medical prescriptions are readable, dated and signed.
- Maintain registers and files up to date at all times, enter all pertinent information.
- Fill in the handover book, note everything that happened during the shift and any changes in prescription or patients to be followed up.
- Participate to the medical team meeting for exchanging information on the state of the patients.
- Dealing and recording Narcotics medication according to JFDA and MSF SOP regulation.
- Note and check the narcotic drugs accurately.
