Summary of Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision of Projects Director, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the overall construction and commissioning of directorate projects, and acting as the primary interface liaison for all necessary project technical impacts. Also assures all works done safely on time and within budget according to APC standards, requirements, and quality using project management methodologies and best practices.
Summary of Responsibilities
• Lead and manage projects with multiple project engineers and external consultants and contractors.
• Ensure contractors carry out all work functions as per agreed program and specifications.
• Manage all project functions related to project management, site management, project control, engineering management, procurement, construction management to meet the project(s) goals.
• Identify risks and ensure operational impacts are minimized.
• Manage QA/QC programs and ensure they are effectively established.
• Manage construction progress against budget and forecasted schedule
• Manage and oversee construction budget, and project schedules
• Responsible for producing construction management reports and providing on-going status of the projects
• Maintain effective and on-going communications with consultant and contractor management teams
• Manage and monitor project commissioning activities and ensure all project documentation are prepared to standard.
• Manage other project engineering duties as assigned
• Responsible for reporting and managing disputes, variations, and claims.
• Review and approve payment certifications
