The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities
• Supports assigned staff in their professional development, identifies training needs, supports staff to achieve the objectives defined in their learning development plans and/or Provides advanced technical support and develops capacity building initiatives to enhance the technical knowledge and professional development of staff.
• Develops with the assigned team, Quarterly activity plans and/or Feeds in the Quarterly team activity plan with technical experience and knowledge.
• Develops systems and SOP's and makes sure they are implemented accordingly. Implements complex systems and procedures conform NRC policies, SOP's and handbooks. Provides advice to managers on complex and cross departments issues. Provides quality checks on department processes and output.
• Identify, analyze and evaluate key processes and gaps in the team activities and make recommendations for improvement.
• Provides qualitative and quantitative analysis over teachers’ activities, signals trends and patterns compiles one team report.
Specific responsibilities
• Overall responsibility for teachers’ methodology and quality of classroom delivery.
• Coordination with TL and teachers to ensure adherence with policy in classroom practice.
• Develop bi-weekly plans for teacher support at site level.
• Represent at site level technical working groups and to formal education providers (in coordination with TL)
• Represent as delegated, with focus on programme design and content.
• Identify capacity building needs of teachers through assessment processes. Advise PC Policy and PCs implementation on professional development, methodologies and opportunities.
• Inform programme development (focus on curriculum, packages and quality) at site level, with strong basis in M&E.
• Prepare monthly reports on activities, lessons learned and plans and send to TLs and PC Policy.
• Supervision of teachers’ classroom methodology and practice. Report back to TL on any issues with teacher performance or behavior.
• Ensure proper record keeping of all teachers’ training, coaching and follow up including reporting of results for donors. Copy of teacher evaluations to also be filed to TLs.
