1.1. Job purpose
Responsible for preparing, implementing and verifying the configuration and integration with roaming partners, analyzing network KPIs related to roaming, and executing proactive and reactive network maintenance activities to ensure that voice and data roaming services provided to customers are continuous and reliable.
1.2. Responsibilities
Handle roaming agreements configuration preparations, verification, testing and validation
Prepare configurations on Umniah MSCs, HLR, and MGW for roaming voice and SMS services
Prepare configurations on Umniah SGSN, GGSN for roaming data service
Communicate the changes on firewall, CBS, SMSC, and billing for the new or modified agreements
Conduct a full testing scenarios based on the signed agreements with roaming partners
Operate and maintain different roaming applications (Welcome SMS, Feel At Home, Steering…etc.)
Conduct daily checkup for all roaming applications
Open and follow-up technical cases and inquires with vendors and provide level 2 support on the issues aroused on roaming applications
Apply new welcome SMSs based on marketing inputs, and do the requested modifications on the existing
Perform planned and unplanned activities related to all roaming applications, such as but not limited to: fixes, SW upgrades, DB integrity checkup, parameters and settings modifications…etc.
Extract and analyze different KPIs to make sure it matches SLA’s
Extract roaming statistics on a daily basis(such as location updates, originating calls, terminating calls, SMS, data PDPs and attach) and generate daily reports depicting voice and data roaming behavior
Analyze roaming KPIs changes and identify the root cause for any abnormal behavior
Report to marketing roaming team any abnormal and/or illegal behavior from roaming partners such as very low steering percentages, steering bypass scenarios, blocking Umniah’ s network elements….etc.
Provide 3rd level support for roaming (Inbound and Outbound) cases
Solve CRM cases in a timely manner
Perform basic troubleshooting for minor and major roaming voice and data issues for inbound and outbound
Handle roaming fraud cases, do the full technical investigation, apply the solution and report the end to end case to all concerned parties
Analyze weakness points noticed on roaming behavior and suggest appropriate solution
Support other divisions in core network operations
understand other core network operations technologies and entities (CS, PS, NGN, IP system, and VAS)
Attend and Participate in other core network operations divisions changes (CS, PS, NGN, IP system, and VAS)
