Managerial/Supervisory Duties
1. Plan and assign the work of Division managers and staff
2. Evaluate and recommend Distribution & Logistics Division employment candidates
3. Supervise the preparation of the Division’s annual budget
4. Ensure Division staff are properly trained and have the vehicles, tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions
5. Monitor and analyze the commission paid to the Distribution & Logistics Division staff
6. Create a work environment that minimizes turnover and maximizes retention within the Distribution & Logistics Division
7. Supervise the daily activities of the Distribution & Logistics Division and ensure that all policies and procedures are abided by
8. Maintain and control safety procedures and activities within the Division
9. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Distribution & Logistics team against preset goals and hold them accountable for their results
10. Conduct regular meetings with subordinates to set priorities, review and motivate performance
11. Liaise between the Distribution & Logistics Departments and resolve any arising challenges
12. Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
Operational Duties
13. Formulate and execute the Division’s strategy in alignment with the Company’s corporate strategy and in coordination with the General Manager
14. Ensure all Division’s plans and budgets are in-line with the Company’s strategic objectives
15. Manage day-to-day distribution and logistics related operations and control the order cycle
16. Monitor current demand levels on LPG and project future consumption levels
17. Study customers’ needs for tank upgrade or downgrade
18. Closely coordinate with the Client Relationship Head of Division to develop plans on how to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
19. Liaise with the Client Relationship Head of Division to coordinate and control the order cycle relating to distribution and logistics activities
20. Liaise with the Client Relationship Head of Division to facilitate collection activities from clients and resolve on-the-field related challenges
21. Manage proactive maintenance of vehicles and related equipment
22. Ensure that all vehicles are insured, mandatory vehicle inspection is performed, and respective fees are paid
23. Ensure that all drivers have valid licenses and permits
24. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and the rules of accrediting bodies
25. Maintain health, safety and environmental practices according to Company and regulatory bodies standards
26. Advise staff on any health and safety matters to ensure a safe and healthy working environment
27. Manage the development and establishment of Distribution & Logistics policies and procedures consistent with the Company’s overall guidelines, objectives, and standards and ensure their adequate execution; evaluate the results of overall operations on a regular basis
