Job Summary:
The Internal Audit Director shall lead the Internal Audit Department towards the achievement of its vision, mission and objectives by establishing annual audit plan and supervise implementation of all audit programs as requested by the Management and the Audit Committee and Follow up on the implementation of the audits recommendations with the Management team.

Duties:

Reviewing and approving internal audit plan and obtaining Audit Committee approval.
 Supervising the execution of the internal audit plan as approved by the audit committee & management.
 Communicating with line management and Enterprise Risk Management in order to ensure that risks are properly identified and understood.
 Coordinating with other departments on audit timing.
 Developing and following up on the execution of internal audit programs.
 Evaluating and discussing with management the results of audit procedures.
 Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
 Reporting to the Audit Committee throughout the year the status of the audit plan, significant observations and recommendations and status of prior open significant findings.
 Supporting all audit team members and being actively involved throughout the audit process.
 Holding regular meetings with the internal audit team to discuss performance, new audit, outcome of pervious audits, etc...
 Carrying out special audit reviews as requested by Management & Audit Committee.
 Updating Policies & Procedures Manual for the internal audit department.
 Formulating, planning, developing and implementing long, medium and short term departmental strategies.
 Preparing periodic reports with respect to the department’s activities and achievements to be submitted to the CEO
 Endorsing suggested plans and programs so as to achieve expected objectives.
 Preparing balance sheets, the estimated budget and Department’s expenditures and monitoring the financial performance of the Department in coordination with Financial department.
 Evaluating the effectiveness of training courses and monitoring their results on department and employee performance and their compliance with the predetermined training needs.
 Carrying out performance appraisals for subordinates according to planned schedules and recommending necessary actions.
 Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position in case of his/her absence whenever the need arises.
 Specifying manpower requirements according to the adopted recruitment and selection system in coordination with the Human Resources department.
 Performing any other duties related to his/her job as assigned by the management.
 Following-up on employees affairs including vacations, leaves, etc.
 Disseminating instructions, circulars and information in addition to issuing administrative, organizational and technical decisions to fulfill endorsed plans and programs.
