1. Role and responsibilities
Generic responsibilities
1. Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
2. Contribute with ICLA specific technical competence to the development of ICLA strategy, Macro Log Frame, and Plan of Action
3. Conduct ICLA specific technical assessment and present recommendations
4. Conduct ICLA specific technical research and document findings and recommendations
5. Provide ICLA specific technical input to coordination mechanism (e.g. cluster coordination) and working groups
6. Develop ICLA specific technical guidance, tools and mechanism
7. Contribute to organisational learning through the provision specific technical analysis, lessons learned and reports
8. Develop training modules and provide specific technical learning or/and training for project staff
9. Provide training to relevant stakeholders
Specific responsibilities
• Oversight of the content and quality of legal information, counselling and assistance services provided by NRC and its implementing partners
• Ensure regular coordination and dialogue with a range of external stakeholders, including UN agencies, on legal issues;
• Liaise with NRC implementing partners on legal issues
• Conduct regular analyses of programme legal caseload;
• Undertake legal research and production of briefs and reports on legal matters affecting refugees in Jordan.
• Coordinate the ICLA training programme
• Act as focal point for areas of new legal thematic engagement
• Report on any relevant legal issues, trends or developments
• Provide mentoring and capacity building to NRC Legal Officers
