The Incentive Labour Technical Assistant will be responsible for the daily follow up and scheduling of Cash for Work (CfW) volunteers and will participate in the rotation monitoring and reporting.
1. Roles and Responsibilities
The following is a brief description of the role.
Generic responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be the same for all positions with the same title. The responsibilities shall be short and essential. Details belong in the Work- and Professional Development Plan.
• Identifies gaps, problems in the implementation area of own activities.
• Develops own weekly activity planning.
• Monitors the progress of activities of assigned daily labour and or contractors and ensures they are implemented conform planning and quality standards.
• Adheres to NRC policies CC tools, handbooks and guidelines.
• Prepares and files accurate records of project activities and ensures all information is accurate and available in time.
Specific responsibilities
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus and type of program intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new volunteer is taken on or the context changes significantly. The line manager drafts the specific responsibilities and sends them to his/her line manager for approval.
• Apply NRC’s CfW Policy and UNHCR’s CfW SOPs in terms of recruitment procedures, rotation, complaints…
• Refer any complaints from CfW volunteers to designated accountability staff member.
• Responsible for the registration of CfW, updating the database and reporting on a weekly basis on general statistics related to the registration of CfW volunteers.
• Consolidate the bi-weekly request for payment along with finance department.
• Complete the exit interviews for volunteers ending work period.
• Follow up on the CfW volunteers rotation schedule with the various shelter units and assist in organizing interviews with the recruitment panel for the selection of volunteers.
• Develop and manage the service agreements for all CfW volunteers.
